Rookie Erin Brooks, Griffin Colapinto win Fiji Pro

By winning the Corona Fiji Pro, Griffin Colapinto is now the second seed in the WSL Finals behind John John Florence. Griffin remained consistent throughout the event and used his fin release backside attack to be the difference when the swell faded. He becomes the third Regular footer since 1999 to win the event joining Kelly Slater and Andy Irons. Rookie Erin Brooks showed she's more than ready to take on the world's best with an aggressive approach to Fiji's unpredictable reef waves. The goofy footer looked impressive with a strong attack to the lip and mature barrel riding. The seventeen year old joins Keala Kennely as the only goofy footers on the women's side the win the Fiji Pro Title.
